Yankees Legend Andy Pettitte Selling Westchester County Home for $3.5M
The legendary New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte is ready to toss his home to a new buyer. The Purchase, NY, property is available for $3.5 million.
The five-time World Series champ picked up the home in 2007 for $3.98 million. So the ace is already prepped to take a rare loss on the sale.
But for a buyer, the gracious residence is a big win. Set on a cul-de-sac in Purchase Estates, the Colonial-style residence was built in 2002. It offers six bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and a roomy 6,800 square feet of interior space.
Enter into a two-story open foyer with a curved staircase, which leads to a living room with a fireplace. The main floor also includes a formal dining room topped with a chandelier.
A large kitchen features a center island, granite counters, and a pantry. The kitchen adjoins a glassed-in breakfast room and a cozy family room with a fireplace.
The main level also includes an office or library, a guest suite, and a laundry room.

Upstairs, the spacious master suite features two walk-in closets and a bathroom. Four additional en suite bedrooms and a rec room complete the floor.
The home is currently configured with a fitness room with exercise equipment. An unfinished basement offers lots of possibilities, with extra space for working, home schooling, or storage.
On the level, 1-acre lot, residents can spend the warmer months outside on the patio, in the pool and spa, and eat meals or entertain al fresco.
The property, about an hour from Manhattan, includes a three-car garage, and is close to recreation, shops, restaurants, and the airport.
Pettitte is considered to be one of the greatest Yankees pitchers of the 21st century. The three-time All Star’s playing career spanned 18 years, and he won 256 games over his career. Now 48, the Louisiana native retired from the game in 2013.
